Tasks to be done by the user
By following the maintenance guide below, you can be sure you are taking the best care of your Mocom steriliser and complying with Australian safety practices.
- If you are using the steriliser heavily every day, then perform the maintenance tasks more often.
- Download a printable version of the maintenance guide which you can display in your practice, next to your steriliser.
Acting on scheduled maintenance messages
From time-to-time important messages will pop up on the screen reminding you that a maintenance task needs to be performed. Remember to always turn off your steriliser at the wall before performing any of the maintenance tasks.

If your steriliser is warning you to conduct a general service at 3,000 cycles or 1,200 days contact BCS Testing (authorised Mocom service agent).
Periodic steriliser validation
It is paramount to effectively prove that your steriliser is performing within the required temperature and pressure limits during a cycle. To ensure this, and to comply with Australian / New Zealand standard AS /NZS 5369, organise a validation service annually.
- Also organise a validation service if steriliser is moved or if you change the usual loading pattern or type of instruments used.
Device service life
The service life of your steriliser is 10 years when used on average 5 cycles / day, for 220 days / year and maintained according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
